Singlecase Uploader supports uploading files or entire folders of files directly to SingleCase. It is ideal if you need to upload to multiple files at once or if your internet connection is unstable and occasionally drops out. SingleCase Uploader ensures that documents are synchronized even when the internet connection is down.
Where can I find the SingleCase uploader?
Once you open your first document from SingleCase, a folder called SingleCase Uploader will be created on your desktop. If you can't find it, please contact us.
The Uploader mirrors the current structure of Clients, Files and their subfolders that you have in SingleCase. If you add a new Client, File or folder in SingleCase, it will be added here as well.
2. How do you upload documents or folders?
You transfer selected files and folders, including subfolders, in the standard way you are used to on your computer.
A) By transferring files
Open your documents folder, select the files and transfer them.
After transferring to the appropriate Project Folder / Case Folder, the files are inserted into SingleCase at the location ("Client"->"Project/Case" ->"Folder"). After this operation, the SingleCase Uploader folder on the desktop will remain empty of files.
B) By copying to the Uploader folder
Select the files or the entire folder that you want to transfer to a specific Project/Case. You can select multiple files by marking the relevant file while holding down the "ctrl" key in the case of WIN ("cmd" in the case of iOS). Use the "ctrl+C" ("cmd+C") keyboard shortcut to copy the selection. Then use the "ctrl+V" ("cmd+V") keyboard shortcut to paste it into the relevant folder ("Client"->"Project/Case").
C. Use "Save As" if you are working in Word
If you are working on a document in Word that you did not open using SingleCase, you can save the document to SingleCase directly from Word using the Uploader. In Word, select the "Save As" command and open the path to the Project/Case save location "Desktop"->"Uploader"->"Client"->"Project/Case". After saving, close Word. You can also open this file directly from your email attachment.
Note 1:
Files must be uploaded directly to the Case/Documents folder, not directly to the Client folder.
Note 2:
Upload only files that your installation supports (standard *.csv, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.jpg2, *.jpg3, *.png, *.pgn2, *.pgn3, *.gif, *.pdf, *.doc, *.docx, *.docm, *.odt, *.odp, *.ods, *.ppt, *.pptx, *.rtf, *.txt, *.xls, *.xlsm, *.xlsx, ).
