There are 5 basic options for uploading a document, folder or entire complex document structure to SingleCase.
Drag & drop from your computer or dragging a document to the homepage of a specific File. The most popular method among users if you need to quickly get documents from your computer to SingleCase. You can select a specific folder in the Case where you need to get them, or "drop" them directly into the overall tree structure. It is best for: Drag & drop can handle documents and folders with several levels. It is suitable for cases when you have documents on your desktop, in explorer or you have brought them on a flash drive. If you decide to upload hundreds of documents this way, we just warn you that it will take a while and we recommend considering option number 4.
Via cloud. If you are directly in the Singlecase application on a specific case, you can use the "Cloud" button, which you can find at the top. When you click on it, a window will open with a selection of documents stored on your computer.
Best for: Suitable for uploading individual documents or groups of documents, but cannot handle entire folders.
Via SingleCase Uploader. A folder with this name is created on your desktop when you open the first document (if you can't find it, contact our customer support or your IT helpdesk). The folder faithfully reflects the current structure of Clients and Cases that you have in SingleCase.For each case, an empty drawer is created on your computer. Then you just need to drag documents, folders, complex document structures into this drawer and they will arrive in SingleCase to the right place.Best for: If you want to upload documents to multiple files at the same time. If you have unstable internet that sometimes drops out.
From email using drag & drop. You can drag an email using "drag & drop" to the Case Mail. At that moment, the email will be saved there with its attachments, and its attachments will also be saved in the Documents from Mail folder, which you have in the document storage of each Case. So you don't have to manually drag and drop attachments.
From an email using SingleCase synchronization with your Outlook. If you connect Outlook and SingleCase using the instructions here, the current structure of Clients and Cases will be reflected in your Outlook. Then all you have to do is copy or move the email in Outlook to the appropriate drawer and it will arrive at the right place in SingleCase.
